    Grin Importing or Copying themes?

I installed SF 8.0 now, but would love to know how I can import the themes I made in SF 7.0...... if at all. I sure hope I don't need to redo them all again??

    Any suggestions appreciated!

in SF 7 install folder there is a subfolder \Themes
Copy the themes you want (sub-folders of that folder) to <SF 8 install dir>\Themes\ , if the .xml file format is not changed they should work.

v7 themes .xml files start/end with <SUF7ThemeData></SUF7ThemeData> , not sure if you should change this to SUF8...

Well, yes, I did copy them using the regular 'explorer', so they are in the new (SF8) theme folder. But they don't show up in the selecting drop-down list when in SF8 and trying to select a theme.

I'll check the 'file type' suggestion, thanks.

Tried, and nope, doesn't work. I changed the indicator in the XML file, but the theme still doesn't show up in the dropdown list..... bummer

    Hi,

The problem may be that you had the program running when you copied the theme into the folder. Try shutting down Setup Factory and reopening it, it should be visible in the list at that point.

As far as themes go, there are a few options for you:

    1) Copy the theme into the Themes folder in the Setup Factory program folder.

    2) Create a folder on your system containing any additional themes you want to use, and then go to Edit > Preferences, select "Environment" and then "Folders". There you will see a field labeled "Additional themes" where you can enter a path to a folder that Setup Factory will look in for themes.

    3) If you are editing a theme from one of the existing ones and use "Save As", they will be stored in a "Themes" folder located in the all user profile of Application Data. For example: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\IndigoRose\Setup Factory\8.0\Themes

For all of these, close and reopen Setup Factory before looking for your new theme.
