Grin Hi people :D Anoter question of mine...

Hi!

This time my question is: is there a way to import Word Documents into Autoplay media Studio? I have tried finding a sollution in the help file, but i haven´t found anything

And if there is NO way to import Word documents, is it possible to import documents in other formats, anyhow, so that Bold AND Italic text passages stay preserved?

Gee, THX a lot people

With best regards,

Hi,
There may be a way but I've used HTML successfully to create complex forms with company logo's & a range of different fonts/italic/bold etc.
Depends what you're trying to do really. If its just to display something, I think you can export from word as html, then show it in a browser window.
If you want to incorporate stuff from variables within AMS, create the html as before but then copy the source into a text file/ write box in AMS. Put your variables to show up wherever you want them. Then create a page with a browser window & display the page you've just created.

There's lots of information on the forums on how to integrate Acrobat PDF files into AMS projects. When you install the full version of Acrobat, you get a print driver that is accessible to any program that allows you to print to a PDF file. It's how most of my PDF files get created, actually.

Of course, you could always use a File.Open command to open your MS Word docs in MS Word, provided the computer on which the AMS project is running has MS Word installed.

You could always include the Word viewer :

But I suspect PDFs would be better. It give you greater control over the viewing of docs, less chance of 'modification'.
and as Eric said, there are loads of threads here about handling PDF files

There is also a relatively inexpensive ($20) PDF printer at Software 602 website too. It's how I make my PDFs.
