    Intel or x86!?

    Hi everyone,

I am getting the following candle error when compiling.

: warning CNDL1111 : The value "intel" for the Package/@Platform attribute has been deprecated. Please use "x86" instead.

In MSI Factory, I can see the drop-down box that sets this property, but "x86" is not an option....and the drop-down box only allows selecting an existing item, not typing your own.

Is this something that a new version might fix?

    Thanks,

    Rod

I saw this error many times in the past as well. I simply ignored it. This is just a warning. Your setup should still compile and run as normal.

This is due to change in the Wix engine. We are adjusting our code for this in the next service release.

In the mean time you can ignore this since 'Intel' will still work.
