Sound but no video

I have placed a mpeg video clip on a page and it will play, but no video? I updated my AMS and there was a comment about windows media 9; actually don't remember exactly, but I turned that function off as it asked. What am I doing wrong.

OK let's eliminate a couple possibilities first:

1. What happens when you play the exact same clip in standalone Media Player.

2. Are you sure you don't just accidentally have the clip at 1 X 1 or something? What is the width and height of the object as it is on your stage in AMS?

Works just fine, even if I open the file from "my documents"and the size is 480x360.

Sounds odd. I would say this. Create a brand new blank project. Place a Media Player object on the page and point it to your file. Preview it. Maybe it'll work. If the problem persists then post that here and the support team will have to take a look at this post. Thanks.

Found the problem....I'm running 2 monitors and I had my project streched on both monitors. GeForce4 MX 440 card won't allow me to do this. I have to designate monitor 1 as the main monitor for video playback and, evidently, even though I played the clip on monitor one it sensed it was on monitor 2. Time for an update!
