Unable to overwrite the version of existing exe file stored in program files folder

Hi,

I am unable to overwrite the existing exe file version in the program files folder in minor upgrades. Due to this i am unable to see the upgraded feature.
can you please suggest on this ?

Please provide me a solution for overwriting the existing exe file in the program files folder in minor upgrade.

Observation:

1. when the first setup is made and installed on a machine,it works fine since the exe is the latest.

2. But when we try to upgrade and reinstall the second setup, the exe file in the program folder is not the latest one(still it is the older one).

Is this the MSIF install or one you're building?
what are the settings of the files?
what os?
do you have permission/rights to update a file?

This question was never answered and I'm having the same problem.

I have a minor upgrade from 2.0.0.5 to 2.0.1.0. My files never overwrite for some bizzare reason. The dates and version numbers are newer and yet the old ones remain.

Please help.
