    Cool FREE: wStartup Action Plugin

    This is a rather small plugin as it only has 4 functions. But some people may find it useful. It allows you to add,remove, and list programs to/from the windows startup list for all users or just the current user. This is my 1st ever plugin and its prob useful for nothing more then saving time vs coding lol. Many thanks to Rizla, Shadow, and Worm for their great plugins and help [I used their methods for creating this]

    -Personal Note-
    As alot of you know I have a million different things Im pursuing at once, as Im sure alot of us are lol. And this is the first time Ive ever attempted to make a plugin so I tried to keep it simple for my sake. Please leave some feedback, and perhaps some suggestions for another action plugin.

    -GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT PLUGIN-
    HKLM = ALL USERS
    HKCU = CURRENT USER

    -FUNCTIONS-
    wStartUp.Add
    wStartUp.Remove
    wStartUp.ListNames
    wStartUp.ListData

    -How to Install-
    1. Put the wStartUp.xml file in the your AMS Data\Actions folder
    2. Add the contents of wStartUp.lua to the end of the notification_messages.lua file located in your AMS Data\Includes folder. [Tip: Open with wordpad and hit enter a couple of times at bottom of document before pasting.]
    3. USE

    I'm impressed, not with just this but with all the action plugins being released recently.

    Good job!

    Well we have You, Rizla, and Worm to thank for that

    I spent a couple hours studying what you guy's did looking at the lua and xml file's then attempted my own try. This is the outcome lol. Its quite simply actually. More then you would think it would be anyways.

    if you actually follow the instructions of TimeSurfer, you should not getting any error. I'll go on more detailed to you.

    Assuming you have " AutoPlay Media Studio 7.0 "

    -How to Install-
    1. Put the " wStartUp.xml " file in the your AMS Data\Actions folder.

    Download the zip file he posted called "wStartUp-Plugin.zip" and extract.
    You should see 2 files after extraction called "wStartup.lua" and " wStartUp.xml ".
    Now, right click the file called " wStartUp.xml " and select copy then go to " C:\Program Files\AutoPlay Media Studio 7.0\Plugins\Actions " folder and paste " wStartUp.xml " file on that folder.

    2. Add the contents of wStartUp.lua to the end of the notification_messages.lua file located in your AMS Data\Includes folder. [Tip: Open with wordpad and hit enter a couple of times at bottom of document before pasting.]

    Now, open the other file you extracted called " wStartup.lua " using Notepad or WordPad.
    Select all the text in that file and copy then go to " C:\Program Files\AutoPlay Media Studio 7.0\Data\Includes "
    Edit the file called " _notification_messages.lua " and at the very end line of that file, paste the text you just copied from " wStartup.lua " file and save.

    Now open/run the file " wStartUp-Example.apz " and you should be good this time.

    Hope this helps....
