I'm creating a CD but since I don't have a CD burner on my PC, I'm using the build to a hard drive folder option, then copying the folder to a network drive where someone with a CD burner can access the folder.
We've tried a couple of different configurations but still can't seem to get autorun to work. The autorun.inf file is there, autorun.exe, and the Autoplay folder. However, these are contained within the folder created by AutoRun Max. When I insert the CD, I get a list of options asking what I want Windows to do for a picture file!
I've also tried to change some of the autorun options for the drive (I have Windows XP) but I'm not sure what option to choose since the folder isn't a music file, picture, video file, mixed content, or music CD. I ended up resetting everything to the defaults.
Using the build to hard drive folder option, what files and what file structure should exist on the CD when burning the files? Should I just have the autorun.inf, autorun.exe, and Autoplay folder on the CD? Or should the folder created by the build be on the CD?
Or, if the problem might be my autorun setup on my computer, what should the setting be for Windows XP and how can I be sure all users of the CD will have the same settings and be able to use the autorun?
