Sorry to bump an old thread, but I thought that it might be reasonable for someone who searches the forum to be able to see both possible answers to the question asked above, and the question that I am about to ask.

If I code sign the program using AMS, then edit some of the info with Resource Hacker, will it break the signing that was done by AMS?

    Thank you all.

    EDIT
Also, are we allowed to change any information in the executable? I mean to ask, is the program that I create with AMS really mine? Or does it leave a mark that we cannot change?

Well, I guess you should be able to edit your built executable. But I always stick to editing the comment...

Wasn't this deemed a breach of the EULA for AMS? I'm sure it was for AMS6 from what I remember, AMS apps were allowed to be distributed royalty free providing the Indigo Rose branding remained intact, or has that been changed now.??

The price it is tho don't you think you would get the right to be able to change that
as its really not that fair to charge money like that then plaster there name all over it
but far as i know it might be aguest it but we have seen it been done and they have not
    said anything just yet.

I don't mean to sound condescending; but when the EULA appears on software, one has an option to click AGREE or NOT AGREE - guess what happens when you select NOT AGREE?

But editing the comments is allowed I guess... Just don't tamper with the scripting engine's internal data... right?

I mean, what's your oppinion about editing version info > comments?

    I leave it in there!

Personally, It's easy to spot an AMS application from miles off. Just removing the comments is futile. WebExe's are like zips so it's easy to find the cdd file.

I'm basically making all my programs free because I know how easy it is to crack the cdd file.

It is, in fact, in breach of the EULA and IR have stated so in the forums.
IR fixed it so you couldn't do that anymore [it was possible and it was being done], so I'd be surprised if doing so didn't corrupt the exe.

In my experience, Resource Hacker does a great job of changing info in the executable.

Im just not too keen on having things watermarked.

Maybe some more input from the staff here?

What can we edit in the autoplay applications version structure and bynary data? And what can't we change?

I'd like to know for sure what we can edit so no harm will be done to the EULA aggreement

surely theres no need, its common knoldge that its not legal to tamper with a exe whos copyright you do not own or that is bound to a EULA

Besides, in the end you don't build it as your own. Your sources get included in the autorun.cdd and not in the autorun.exe file...
