The FAQ by Adam entitled, "My videos will not play" is slightly wrong on the information about MPEG-1.
MPEG-1 actually works standard in Windows 95B (November of 1996 or later) (when ActiveShow was included). Chances are almost nil that any distribution will encounter an older computer.
