    non-maximized background image

Is there any way to have the project background image a fixed size instead of being stretched to full screen?

    Thanks.

haven't tried that, but you may make a .gif which dimensions match the biggest screen resolution you expect - say 1920x1200 (wide screen 17" laptop). In the center put your image, and make the rest transparent. If at runtime the installer crops the image, all users will see the same size image.
If the installer resizes the image, users will see it in size that depends on current screen settings.

There is no way to show this image in a non full screen setting. I don't think that a transparent png/gif file will solve this issue because the image is likely converted internally for compatibility across all Windows systems.

    Hi Adam,

I guess all Windows systems can display a .gif with transparent areas.
Do you mean it's not possible to use gif's with transparency? Maybe SF internally converts the image to another format that doesn't support transparency?

Well, part of the problem I'm having is that,
First, I don't want to completely block out everything in the background, and
Second, when the image gets expanded to full screen, the proportions get screwy on some screens (specifically widescreen displays).

How do I keep proportionality of the image on widescreen monitors?

Looks like you posted this in the wrong user forum. This forum is for Setup Factory 7.0 questions and it appears from your screenshot that you are referring to AutoPlay Media Studio 6.0.
