Error on Build -- Vmware related?

I have vmware open & running a 64bit guest.
When I try to build a project in SUF7 -- I get the error below, if I pause (or close) the virtual machine (or vmware) I can compile just fine.
I have tried changing the drive/path of the temp folder, and it errors each and everytime -- it is adding considerable time for debugging and testing having to pause the guest images each time I want to make a minor change....

Anyone have ANY ideas or thoughts? I'm desperate...

Different error, different symptoms, 100% reproducable here. No scanning (virus,etc) on this machine, and at the time the error pops up -- the file in question doesn't exist...
