Thread: Windows Vista - Run Program in AMS 6.0.5.0

I've added a "Run program" link to start a software in my AMS project, and it works great for Windows XP. For Windows Vista it fails though :

Error 1045 - File Execution Failed, Elevation required.

Known bug, or solution to this ?

PS: Instead of using "Run Program" I tried "Open Document" and opened the .EXE file, and this works fine. My problem is basically solved, so this is more of a bugreport for IndigoRose technicians.

I'd use Shell.Execute if I were you.

what type of program is it, exe installer ?, msi installer ?, this dose play a part in it to, if its a msi installer then file.open would be the one to use, if its a exe installer and its not working on vista....is it compatable with vista ?, dose it require admin rights ?

i would check your vista user account privileges
