    Pre-Purchase Questions

    Hi,

Now that DemoShield is no longer supported, I am looking for a new solution and I found this one quite interesting, but have a couple of questions. I did download the demo, but thought this may be faster...

Can the autorun be compiled into a single EXE or is the Autoplay support folder/files required?

I tried a couple of the samples and they all seem to display the Titlebar no matter what. Can dialogs be created without a titlebar and if so can it still be moved around on the screen by the user.

Is there any forced product branding in any way. I'm not real thrilled about spending good money for a product and then be force to advertise it. I don't mind info stored in the EXE, but not the dialogs.

I am a single deveolper but have a couple of build machines. Am I limited to the number of machines or just users with my purchase.

    Thanks,

    SteveDude

Welcome to the forums SteveDude. Just wanted to help by giving my input on your questions.

    1. Yes you can create single exe files.

2.Several options for app border. (Standard,Bordered (no title), Flat and kiosk.)
All except kiosk can be moved by left clicking inside app and moving.

    3. No product branding on the app. (Minor in the exe coments)

    4. As far as I know Autoplay can be installed on one desktop and one laptop. (I'm not 100% on this)

Edit : I forgot to mention, The support on these forums, for questions and examples, is the best I have ever seen.

    Thanks...I should clarify

Thanks a bunch for the info!

I should clarify one question a bit. When creating a single EXE at this point I am really only interested in all direct Autoplay support files, i.e...any runtime requirements including backgrounds, buttons, etc. The idea is to create one EXE and allow selection to play specific windows Media files that will not be compressed in the EXE. So on the CD would be just the one EXE file and WMV files sorted into folders. Is that possible? The EXE would be in the CD root.

Thanks again for the Welcome and the response.

Yes it's possible, but that single exe will create a temp folder on the user's system to store some of the files during its runtime. And it will need, depending on the size of your project, a some more *seconds* to load.

It is possible and quite easy to accomplish.
