    Use 7zip in AMS

I have made a function to extract files from a 7-Zip archive, which is similar to ZIP.Extract. Best of all this adds only ~250 KB to your application and can save a lot of space.

That's all I can do for now as I don't have much time, I didn't even test this function but it should work.

A zip file containing everything you need (7za.exe, GNU-LGPL License, 7zip.lua) is attached.

Fixed a few bugs (still didn't test it, just what I could pick up from the code) and added an "Add" function. Please try it and report any bugs.

Now that I had the time to test this, I fixed all the bugs I could catch. I attached the .apz file so you can play with it.

        Hi:

I tested your funcion with a real file with 7z extension with 149 meg...extracting nothing occurs and the add funcion when i click in archive button get a dialog and I noticed that default search extension file is 7zip instead all fille ( using *.* format) if you treat to create an add action with files to create a 7zip file. I cant select a file to add.

Anyway you had a great effort of yours your point view is interesting

I dont like be rude ...but, only a idea why not to include the 7-zip.dll inside files you attached at folder data? Maybe with this file all joined into project (plugin folder) run finely.

Its only a note, I not a expert programmer ....

I could barely find a 7zip dll, and after I found it, there are no useful functions (they don't seem to me). Maybe a more knowledgeable person can help me here?

I attached a zip file with a HTML report, a screenshot and DLL Export Viewer.
