    For the Runners/Walkers out there

The other day I went out for a run, it was so nice that I decided to take a different route than the one I've mapped out with my car for distance. Only problem was, when the run was done, I had no idea how far I'd actually ran.

I knew there had to be something available to give me a general idea of how far I'd gone. Anyhow, I found a couple sites I thought were worth sharing. It looks like they both use the same engine (Google Maps), but all-in-all very cool. Its going to save me a lot of trips in my car to map out my runs.

What a coincidence... I just found and added those to my bookmarks less than a month ago.

I also stubbled on this yahooMaps based tool with a slightly cooler interface...

Are you running any local races this year?
Yeah right. Who's the only one here who knows the illegal ninja moves from the government?

cool, guess im kinda lucky to have "The Linford Christie Stadium" real close to my house, i take a gentle jog there and then go for it on the track, sometimes even set up a few hurdles, the good thing is i always know exactly how far i have run, although it gets a little boring sometimes........god bless the ipod

running the Fifth Third Riverbank Run here in Grand Rapids (5K, not the 25K, not quite ready for that) this coming Sat. I ran in the Irish Jig on St Patrick's Day too (another 5K here in GR). Haven't planned any farther ahead. Wasn't sure I'd stick to it

I just picked up another GPS (very small, fits in palm of your hand size) and this sounds like another good use. I usually use my units in the car.

Plus I can setup various routes and save them and view their details later on.

John Digweed does his show there on di . fm. Grab onto the Progressive, Trance, or Euro Dance.
