A simple question outside of ams....

    Hi all:

I was looking for all this day any dvd video - tutorial about adobe flash for desing purposes, I found a few but none serious treatment in deep about flash videos explaining what to do x thing or so...( including actionscript)

Do in this big forum know where I can purchase complete chapters video tutorials, some serious and trusted site about that theme ( never mind in dvd or cdrom in quality? I mean, anybody has purchased tutorials dvd/cd in mode and in english ( in spanish language there out in net isn't too much resources for learning to manage flash).

    Thanks in advance.

I use Lynda.com for most software training.

Total Training is great! Brian Maffit is probably the best instructor of software I've ever encountered. He's always got special shortcuts and tricks up his sleeve to show, too.

The big difference between Total and Lynda is their business models. Lynda charges a monthly fee to use any of their products - although you can also buy the lessons on disc. Total doesn't do the online training thing. So, you end up with potentially paying much less on Lynda.com if you have a lot of time in a given month to learn what you want to learn. And, you have access to everything they offer for that (relatively) low monthly fee.

I think that Total Training's material is probably better on the whole, but it comes at a premium price.

I completely agree with Eric. When I started out, I bought every lynda.com I could find on ebay. Then they started the subscription. I got that. Then I discovered Total training. ( I just purchased both Flex tutorials.)

Now I pick the brains of my "fellow forumers'".

I have been in touch with them for awhile. Bought a few title from them and positively loved theeir teaching methods. As it is all based on the host, it doesn't say that ALL their products are top quality, just that I had the luck to get hold of some. To Brian Maffit, I would definitely add Steve Holmes. He is, as far as I am concerned, the number one host (and as I teach myself, I think I know what I am talking about).
I met them at conferences I attended to and that's how I got my "first contacts" with them.
