That's got to be the most unscientific method for assigning market value to domains that I've ever seen.... It might be fun, but it seems pretty worthless.
They're just guessing based on a few aggregate numbers. The real value of a domain is what it's worth to an interested buyer. If you don't have a prospective buyer, it's worth roughly what you paid for it when it was last registered.
Try entering a name without a tld extension - it still assigns a value! How can a non-domain name have a value as a domain name?
I agree its hokey, but its kinda fun![]()
I guess I'm feeling kind of humorless today.
Too close to tax day.
I can see why Eric is disappointed -
My personal rphmedia.net - $4,480.00 - never really fully developed it.
But my new venture ; muvipix.com - $65.00![]()
Got a long way to go there.
I agree, just some side-fun. Cheer up Eric !!

google.com:
Domain Name Appraised: google.com It has been determined based on search results that this name may be extensively valuable beyond the scope of the LeapFish.com domain analysis tool. It is recommended that you seek the services of a complete domain appraisal company rather than rely on this estimate.
$10,875,620.00
I'll take it!
