i´m testing SetupFactory 7.0 ! - and i must say - its great !

but i need one function: Compiler Variable !

we have the version from wise installation system http://www.wise.com/Wise/Products/In...ionStudio.aspx

have setupFactory this function ?

Could you explain a little further what you are looking for in a compiler variable?

We have Design Time Constants that are populated at build time.

first you make "Compiler Variables" - see compiler variables.jpg

then can you define in the script what the compiler variables to do

compiler variables2.jpg & compiler variables3.jpg

and when you now compile the script ( make a setup.exe ) the compiler ask you automatic what did you want to do compiler variables4.jpg

we have now a really individuell setup !!!

this is a very important function for us.

i have see this function - but is not the same :(

the problem is that with the "Packages" the user can select what he want to install

with a compiler variables can the developer to decide what in the setup is.

OK I suspect you then want CONSTANTS & PRE/POST BUILD options available under PUBLISH -> SETTINGS using different configurations.
