Pages load very slow with multi combo/list boxes...

I made a page with 8 combo boxes and 1 list box.
Each one has up to about 30 entries manually entered (not coded).
The page takes up to 4 seconds to draw when compiled. Even in the editor it takes up to 2-3 seconds to draw the box's...

Is this a known issue? And if so, how does one improve the loading of such pages?

i just run a little test, i put 20 combos and 4 listboxes all with 30 items on a page and it only takes 1 sec to draw all the items

try my apz and see if it stall out any longer on your pc

Took 6seconds on my machine.

Weird...

My Machine Stats are:
AMD 64 3500+
1.5Gigs DDR RAM
Windows XP 32bit

I noticed however, that on my Vista partition it doesn't take nearly as long.. only a second. My guess then would be that my XP is in need of a reinstall... lol

Yeah,

my system:
AMD Sempron 3000 xp
1 GB DDR Ram
Win XP SP2

so id deffo say you need a reinstall, i do mine every six months or so weather it needs it or not, i like the speed of a fresh os
