I might get there a little quicker...but, you will have more fun?![]()
Nice bike, Bruce. I bought a Specialized Hard Rock in 1991 and it still runs like a charm. I leave it out at the cottage. It sits outside 365 days a year. I never tune it up beyond spraying some WD40 on the chain and putting air in the tires. It always runs beautifully. Very happy with Specialized.
I have a Trek here in the city that I use for commuting to work and it is also a great bike. But there is always a special place in my heart for my Specialized bike. That will be a really nice bike to have in California. You should bring it to Manitoba and Darryl can run you through some awesome bush trails in the Whiteshell.

Nice bike, Bruce! Really dig the color.
Now you just need to get it dirty:

So Bruce...how does it ride?

ahhh man unbelievable! I was just telling Tigg I was surprised how these guys have gotten these bikes so fine tuned to go up hills and down hills at HOLY CRAP speeds and all of it like silk!
Awesome...I've never ridden a full suspension, for our terrain up here I decided to go with a high-end hardtail to keep the weight and cost down a bit. I've thought of taking a double-boinger out for a ride, but test rides have a way of making you buy stuff, so...
You should post some pics of the trails you go on! (I think we're due for another one of your photography posts...)
I would but it seems whenever I bring a camera on the trail I end up leaving it in my backpack most of the time.
Although I do have this shot from a recent biking trip with Darryl, where he stood off against his arch nemesis on a logging road on the way to the trail...

Ahh I would love too! Especially of me trying to unlock my feet as I’m rolling down the side of the sticker infested hill HAR! Yes, it happened, no more needs to be said.Originally Posted by Lorne

Hah!
Last fall I went to visit my parents in the Rockies, and brought my bike along...on one ride in my infinite wisdom I tried to charge through a wall of blackberry bushes. OUCH! I ended up playing Twister for half an hour trying to untangle my way out of there.

Sweet ride Bruce, congrats! May your bum never be sore again
And as for the deer picture...there must be something wrong with Lorne's camera, because that deer must have been at least 10 feet tall I tell ya.
Have fun.
