Our company releases software to Beta created with AMS6

I've been working on this project for a while now, but we finally released it to Beta for customers this week. It was made to try and make some of the tasks our customers perform easier and to have all of the common tools in one place. It also incorporates some new documentation we are working on, so we wanted to put it all together and make something that customers will find useful.

I'm excited about the possibilities of this application for the future and I couldn't have done it alone. Everyone at IR and all the wonderful users contributed their help over the last few months and I want to thank you all for it. Hopefully, the results of this project can be inspiration to everyone who is just getting started with AMS6 and want to see what can be made using this software.

Wow, seriously nice application. Was there an action in AMS that you did not use there?

The interface is nice and clean. I liked how you use the sub-toolbar system to switch options and screens within the main toolbar options. Your FTP manager was especially impressive. Good job. Incredibly nice software regardless of the fact that it was made with AMS6. Hope you get a big raise.

There's not a lot of complicated code in that application... there is just a lot of code (to me anyways). Somewhere around 7000 lines.

The XML actions were very helpful as well as the FTP actions. The most tedious part was that all of those objects are on one page in AMS. All the objects for each virtual page are separated into groups, like labels, images, inputs, listboxes, etc. and are stored in tables and shown/hidden for each menu/submenu. I've purchased the PopupNotify plugin from Worm as well, which has yet to be implemented. I've also implemented LuaSocket, but it's not being used yet (I want to get some communication between menus on a customer's LAN for the purposes of transferring files, licenses, logs, etc.) I have lots of ideas and this is just the beginning for the types of things I want to do with it.

As far as how many hours went into this... I worked on this on my own time, and I figure I averaged about 12-15 hours a week since around last August. So... maybe about 500 hours?

Wow! That's a fantastic example of the power of AutoPlay Media Studio as a full blown software development programming tool. From first glance, I'd assume you would have done it in C++, Delphi or Visual Basic. Very cool.
