When I make flash files and I want to protect them (by protect them I mean keep the honest person honest) I change the file extension, and put a stop on the first frame of my externallly loaded swf's. Nothing complicated but like i said keeps the honest man honest. ( in theory at least).

I recommend using the the (blowfish) crypto actions. I believe you can change the file's extension when encrypting. Just make sure you change it back to the right format when decoding.

    Try this little apz

There is a button to open the user temp folder so you can watch what happens (if your system is fast enough, you may not see anything, which is good).
There is a page that has a quickie single file encryption that I used to encrypt the file in the Docs folder, click on Encrypt.
There is a random number generator function to randomly name the temp folder.
The actions are on Project Start UP and On Close
    Global Functions
    and Get Input button.
    Hope this helps.
