    Deleting the Uninstaller - revisited

I've seen few threads about how to delete the uninstaller.
    E.g.
    http://www.indigorose.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9195
    http://www.indigorose.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10572

Is there reasonable way to do it, without reboot ?
(If user doesn't reboots, and immediately re-installs, then the uninstall.exe is still marked in the regsitry in "PendingFileRenameOperations" )
Anyway I don't want a reboot, why reboot when it's not necessary.

Why not use the "a self deleting exe" as described here:
    http://www.chez.com/mooncoder/Articl...e01_source.htm

    Am I missing something ?
    10x.

I've decided to use SF and paid 595$ in order to avoid using any external c++ dlls\exes, and now I have to do it (with a lot of juggling) in order to get the most basic feature that exists in any freeware installer that u can download from the web.

You can guess what my boss thinks about it.
