irsetup error on XP SP 2 - another one

I distribute a solution using SF 7.0, and a client emailed today saying the following error was being received during install:

"Setup Application has encountered a problem and needs to close...."

"Error signature
AppName: irsetup.exe AppVer 7.0.4.0 ModName: irsetup.exe
ModVer: 7.0.4.0 Offset: 0005f88d"

suggestion:
if the installer was downloaded by client, it may be a corrupt download

--that Os error suggests the 'file image' may be corrupt.

could request the client redownload the setup.exe or
perhaps if possible rebuild the installer and supply to that client specifically.
