    Huh? over 10k files...

    Greetings,
Ok, here's my problem. I've developed an application that in addition to the files to run the app, there's almost 10,000 pdf's included with it. As you can imagine, this take FOREVER to install! I'm talking 15 - 20 minutes. What I'm wanting to do is compress them all into one archive. I believe the CD Rom could move 1 large file MUCH quicker than 10,000 small ones.
Where I'm stuck is, I don't know of any good archivers that I could have run from the CD after the install is complete.

    Any help on this?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jeff

Setup Factory 7.0 has the ability to unzip files at runtime. This way you could simply copy the one large zip file to the users system, then unzip them through Setup Factory. And you are correct that copying one large file is much much more efficient than copying tons of small files.
