    Nero Digital

    Anyone tried out Nero Digital?
    What's the verdict?

    Meh. Another MPEG-4 proprietary variant.

Codecs have to be two things for me to sit up and listen...

    1) They have to look and sound great at reasonably low data rates
    2) They have to be as close to ubiquitous as possible

This one (and tons of others) qualify for #1, but not for #2.

If you're compressing for personal purposes only, though, I say this is worth consideration. Nero does good stuff, from my experience.
