    From another thread, I realized this might be a browser issue. This SWF must have a poor version sensing script. In FireFox, I'm still on 7, but it didn't realize that, so it played it anyway (up to that sticking point). On Internet Explorer, where I'm running v. 8, it played great.

    So, gbrown, upgrade your Flash player!

    Yeah, it has an automatic script to upgrade in IE. I've been troubleshooting Flash plug-ins and players and was on version 7, but it upgraded seamlessly when I went there.

    That's an IE thing, actually. The Active X control handles it very nicely, you're right. Unfortunately, since other browsers do not use Active X, they need to be accounted for by the web developer. In this case, that was apparently an oversight.
