    have not figured out how to get it to refresh the setting so the change will take effect without restart

    Main Key = HKEY_CURRENT_USER
    Sub Key = Control Panel\Desktop
    Value name = Wallpaper
    Value type = REG_SZ
    Value data = C:\WINDOWS\Picture.bmp

    Main Key = HKEY_CURRENT_USER
    Sub Key = Control Panel\Desktop
    Value name = TileWallpaper
    Value type = REG_SZ
    Value data = 0 -or- 1
    0=no 1=yes

    Main Key = HKEY_CURRENT_USER
    Sub Key = Control Panel\Desktop
    Value name = WallpaperStyle
    Value type = REG_SZ
    Value data = 0 -or- 1 -or- 3
    0=Center 1=Tile 2=Stretch

    thanks a ton dk237.... I actually did figure that one out on my own last night... after about 3 hours of effort... the thing is... i cant find any way to refresh the registry without a restart, or at least a logoff/logon. My real concern now lies in refreshing the registry without restart.. (SIGH)
