How can I set the folder's access privileges

I would like for Setup Factory to assign the Full Control setting to all Users for the program folder I am installing. After installation, the folder is set to read only. Unless a user has admin privileges, this setting cannot be changed. I must have Setup Factory do this on intall.

    Thanks

Hi there.. for NT Oss..as far as I am aware..when a folder is first created
it is automaticaly assigned the default 'read only' attribute by the Os.

I believe that unless a logged in user has 'power or full Admin' priveleges
..this folder 'attribute' can not be changed.

Query: do you want ALL account types to be able to Run-use the
installed Application.(if only Admin Users --this needs to be coded into the Application itself)

As you are probably aware the default settings when creating a SUF7 installer
is only an Admin user can Run the created installer to a successfull conclusion.

You can set 'current user' or 'all users' for the related install screen at design time.

Sorry if I misunderstood --other than the above I'm not sure there is
anything else you can do to control if an end user has 'delete' ability.

hope this helps in some way at least.

(Someone else will chime in and correct me or offer some other suggestions.)

thanks for your response. what happens is that a folder gets created during the install, this folder must be accessilble by all users since it contains a database to which user need writte access. since the default values are set to Read Only, I'm required to connect to each machine remotely with my admin privs to reset their folder access. it's a pain when the install base is roughly 140 machines.

    thanks

I'm a bit confused..are we talking installing to one machine and you
require all 140 machines to have full 'shared folder access permissions' to the 'served installed folder\file-s
(if so seems more like 'folder Share permissions related' and not a 'read only' folder 'attribute'-account access issue)

could you try and explain further ?
