    It's Puzzle Time

I have a museum kiosk that will be on a touch screen. No keyboard or mouse will be attached. I need a way to turn off AMS at the end of the day. The museum closes at different times each day and those times change monthly, so a timer script is out unless I want to change the program each month. I can't use a small invisible quit button, since small (jelly covered fingered) children will be using it and are likely to press anywhere.

    Any elegant, simple solutions?

    Elegant... I dunno.

First thought was to set up a table with the different times, but you stated it wasn't a "set" schedule any time. So the only thing I can think of is to use a hidden Quit as you suggested, but with a small twist to make it a bit more secure.

If you don't have a "keyboard", you could use a combination of button presses instead.

    Cool

I kind of figured that this would be a race between you and Tigger (depending who was on line).

This will be a great help to anyone who has a touch screen kiosk situation where the client doesn't want the user to have access to the windows interface.

    Thanks again.

    Cheers

You could use a timer as well that checked the time and based on the time of day and day of week you could then close after a certain time. Have it run every minute or every five minutes. This assumes that there are specific times based on Day of week.
