can i play a video twice it's speed or 1/2 it's speed in ams5 pro ?

Not directly in AMS.
You could use an external video player like zoom player or vplay or the Core Media Player.
Also in Wmp10, there is a playback speed control.

I have read a few times that Flash is becoming the next big video thing. I wonder if you could create a "video object" in flash and have this type of control. You could then control the flash object from AMS.

Good ideas, guys! If you're after true variable speed beyond coarse adjustments like 1/2 or x2 in playback, that is under user control, then you're looking at a tough go of it. Flash would probably be the best bet.
