Auto search is it possible?

i was wondering if it is possible to make a autosearch function for a button,
léts say i have a file that i want to extract to a specific folder and i only know what the name of the folder is,but not where it is on the computer,
and i want the auto search function to find the correct folder automaticly on the computer and extract the files.
is this possible?

this was very much like what i was looking for,
i just have one small question id hope you or anyone could help me with,

Here goes!

I would like to be able to click a button that opens a browser window where i have set it to search for a specific file and it will browse for that specific file only , "icon.exe" for example, and when i open that file in this browser window a popup box will popup and say for example do you want to replace the file?, and if i click yes for example it will replace it with a file in my resource folder and comfirm replacment after replacment has been done,

does anyone know how to write this kind of script,
Ive tried allot of times to get the scripting of this correct but with no luck
i would be greatly thankfull
