Free copy of REALbasic Standard for VB6 Owners

Real Software seems to be trying to take advantage of MS's plan to stop supporting VB6. From now until the end of the month, they are offering a free copy to any VB owners.

Thanks for the link Worm. Just got my copy, pretty powerful package and not too different from VB. Can you create dlls with the standard version? Can't seem to find any info.

You can't create DLLs at all with RB. Maybe it'll be in their next release, it's been a popular request for quite a while now. I haven't look to see what the difference is between standard and pro. I've used the pro version for a couple years now, and as you said, it's very VB'esque. A nice thing about it is there are no runtimes to distribute. The runtime is compiled into the EXE, that's why a simple little "Hello World" app is over 1 MB.
