McDonalds outsourcing Drive-Thru? Ah?

Ok, this is just getting goofy with the whole outsourcing movement:

Publically traded! Ack!

"The world's largest fast-food chain said on Thursday it is looking into using remote call centers to take customer orders in an effort to improve service at its drive-thrus."

Ok, so a person in a remote call center in possible another state (country next?) will be able to improve service? That sounds like a oxymoron in the making!

They actually consider that a good idea?

Ya know... maybe there is something to outsourcing.

I'm going to check around and see if I can get a remote call center to take care of my bathroom needs. (#1 and #2)

Hey, I'm game. And what a time saver and improved bathroom service that will be for me!

I think I'm getting the hang of this outsourcing deal.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Take a look on the other side of this coin and you can almost bet they're receiving credit/concessions on the other end for "creating jobs". of course the punchline is that it's all in the name of "improving service" [read : "Increasing consumer value"]. Hee!
