SUF 7.0 and Virtual PC (VPC) for Mac

If anyone is interested, this does work! Thanks to another user forum, I was instructed to try runnning SUF 7.0 in VPC in "Compatibility Mode." I tried that and SUF worked perfectly! And quite fast. It actually starts up faster than it does on my Pentium IV Dell. Loading the files and settings takes only a little longer. The build does take almost twice as long, 32 seconds on the Dell and 52 seconds on the VPC (my Mac is a dual 1 GHz processor G4; I assume on a new G5 it would be much faster). It's a rather complicated Setup, dozens of files and about 80 MB in size. Still, I don't need to run the Setup very often. The slight difference in speed is well off set by the convenience of doing all my development on the my Mac. BTW, I do test my setups on real PCs!

I have demoed other setup utilities and Indigo Rose's Setup Factory is far superior. Thank you Indigo Rose!

    SUF in VPC

BTW, my VPC gurus tell me that the reason SUF was having problems originally in VPC was probably because "they're making use of self modifying code in Setup Factory (usually an anti-piracy measure)." Anyway, it works fine with VPC in "Compatibility Mode" and I'm very happy!
    Thanks again Indigo Rose!
