User interaction - Click and Drag?

Hi there,
I am new to Autoplay media studio and was wondering if it was possible to get some user interaction as follows.

Opens Excel, then asks user to drag select from cell x to cell y.

is this type of thing possible? I know you can get an application like RapidBuild to do this but that costs 3000 buckeroos!!!!

Should be able to do that with the LuaCOM plugin
So it seems very possible
