SUF and WINRAR

Has anyone succesfully used WINRAR SFX files with SUF (any version)?

I have posted to WINRAR support also but in brief:

I add the SFX file to my SUF project and add a File operation to run the file after installing. I build and run. The SFX file installs where it should and runs the SFX file, but the SFX files thinks that current folder is the windows temp folder whereas SUF correctly knows this should be %AppDir%

Hi John,

no, I neither can use any SF6 or SF7 setupfile with WinRAR. Whenever I compress a SF setupfile with WinRAR (SFX), and then start the SFX, the setup just flashes up, and disappears.

I have reported this in the SF6 bug forum, but only received the answer that this is most likely a problem caused by WinRAR. I don't think that this is true, as the Setup is started by WinRAR, but then it just disappears...

It does not look like that this problem is currently investigated by the SF developers ...

Some questions:

1. Are you using File.Open or File.Run?
2. Are you setting the WorkingFolder parameter? (If not, try setting that to the folder you're extracting from.)
3. What do the WinRAR docs say about command line arguments for the SFX files?
