Mlmsg_err_no_detect_version

Hi,

I'm currently evaluating the trial version.

I have version 1 of my software installed locally. I have a client file configured to connect to a server file which has only one version defined. The version in my server file has an action of downloading version 2 if my local copy is of version 1 (identified thru' a registry key). The registry key is updated to '2' once the update happens successfully. This worked fine.

Now, when I run Update.exe again without changing any configuration (client or server), I get MLMSG_ERR_NO_DETECT_VERSION error. I'm under the impression that I will get an "Already Updated" dialog. But instead, I get the error and the "Update Failed" dialog. Can you please tell me where the problem is?

Thanks.

TUuser,

Welcome to our forums. Here is what I would say the issue is:

You must have 2 versions defined. The first version is the case where you want to make some change to update the system.

The second version will have only one action: Status -> Latest Version.

This is a vague response but you seem very close to getting your app working. Please post back if you need further help, or if you require a more detailed description.

Thanks!

This works fine after I included the second version in the server file.
