Reducing number of times specifying Server File Locations

I find that the two components of TrueUpdate require you to enter the same Server File Location information multiples times. I personally would like to see this information entered just once (in either the Client Configuration or Server File Editor) and be utilized when required.

For example, if I want to create 3 Server File (SF) locations (1 local testing, and 2 redundant production locations) such as:
Local C:\%ProductName%\TestUpdates\update.uif
HTTP http://www.site1.com/%ProductName%/update.uif
FTP ftp.site2.com,%ProductName%,updateuif

Once these are defined in the Client Config Utility, I would like these to be available in the SF Editor AND in the SF Actions when I choose Download File FTP or Download File HTTP. This would save alot of retyping the same information and reduce errors and changes if a different FTP or Web server was chosen.

Alternatively, if I defined these SF locations in the SF Editor then these should be available in the Client Configuration Utility.

Lastly, it would be real useful if there was a "test" button (and a right context test popup menu entry) for SF locations in the Client Config Utility. Although you can do this in the SF Editor by Publishing something, there is no equivalent in the Client Config Utility to test whether you've got your settings correct.

acedougk,

Thank you for the great suggestions. I have added them to our internal suggestions database for future consideration.

If you have any further comments on the workflow (or any area for that matter) of True Update then please feel free to post them. We listen!
