quick questions

I am testing the Visual Patch demo. I cannot find answers to the following on web site, Help or User Guide:

1. Does VP support rollback?
2. Does VP support Error Logging?
3. Does VP support patch failure notification to the calling process?

Hi,

1) Visual Patch does not support rollback, if you are referring to the rollback feature that is available in MSI installations. But it does allow you to backup all of the files that it will overwrite.

2) Visual Patch does support error logging; in fact it can log all of the events that occur during a patch.

3) Visual Patch cannot return failure notification to the calling process but it can write information into a text file or the registry that the calling process can read.
