Lightbulb Visual PAtch - Setup Factory

Hi,
I'm soon buying the bundle package and wondering what would be the best use of the 2 softwares : Visual PAtch <-> Setup Factory.
Would the best be : 1rst setup with SF then the patches with VP ?
What to do on major version changes ? redo the setup or enhance the VP ?
If you have some experience on this, could you give me some hints ?
Thanks a lot !

btw_SF works really great

Re: Visual PAtch - Setup Factory

The normal flow would be to create your first version installer using Setup Factory 6.0. For all maintenance releases you would package up the changes with Visual Patch.

Then, depending on what you want to accomplish, you could continue to use Visual Patch, if for example, they next major release was free or you controlled access to the patch file, however it is much more likely that you would use Setup Factory 6.0 to create a whole new installer for the major version change.

Basically, putting out a full installer is your chance to start again clean. Major version changes are perfect for this.
