To make creating a Setup.exe for VB apps, I think that these two suggestions will speed up the procedure ever so slightly
(1) When clicking the "Runtime Support" button, instead of having a drop-down list with "MS Visual Basic" and then asking for the version (5 or 6) in the NEXT step, how about having the "Runtime Support" button offer two items: "MS Visual Basic 5" and "MS Visual Basic 6". (2) Then, in the step after that where you have to locate your VB project file to be scanned for dependencies, how about having SUF start the search in the default VB installation folders (such as "C:\Program Files\DevStudio\VB\" for VB5), so that we don't have to go browsing very far to locate our apps. Regards, Otser. |
