SUMMARY

This article explains how to create a shortcut to an Internet URL using Setup Factory 6.0.

DISCUSSION

Creating a shortcut to an Internet URL is a very easy process in Setup Factory 6.0. It involves nothing more then using a Create Shortcut action and setting the Target file field to be the URL that you would like to shortcut to point to.

For example, if we wanted to create a shortcut to: http://www.indigorose.com/site/index.php on the end user's desktop our Create Shortcut action would look like this:

Folder: %Desktop%
Shortcut Description: My Program
Target File: http://www.indigorose.com/site/index.php
Command Line Arguments:
Icon Index: 0
Use external icon file: Unchecked
External Icon Path: N/A
Working Directory:
Run Mode: Normal

Note: This is not supported on Windows 95.
