How to randomly play MP3's listed on a page

I have several pages of MP3 files.
How can I
1) Randomly play the files on 1 page?
2) Randomly play the fiels on all pages?

I can't think of a way to do this in AutoPlay Menu studio. The problem is that there is no random number generator in AMS. A timer would also be useful for this problem. Would people be interested in a timer/random number generator in the next version of AutoPlay Menu studio?? If so I'll make note of it for the future.

Timer would be useful too. I've cheated a couple of times by running a blank avi.

Perhaps a cheesy workaround, but you could manually randomize a playlist and have it linked on your AMS menu.

I was thinking about this : isn't there a small windows program or DOS program that will randomize numbers? Couldn't you just run this and have it select the random number for the MP3?

I had the same thought a while back, but then how do you tell AMS to use that number and where is it kept where AMS will find it?
You will need to convert the number into something that AMS will make sense out of to be able to select the song?

Download the AMS 4.0 evaluation software if you don't have version 4.0... It now features randomization of variables...
