When adding files into a project, they always default to %AppDir% for the destination target path. This can be modified on a per-file basis. Is there anyway to retain the relative path from where files are added into the target path, or any way to modify the properties for a group of files ? When I add 100 files in a subdir to the project, they are all given the %AppDir% destination. It is very wasteful to modify each single file at a time.

yew Bonehead, You CAN modify the properties for a group of files. Seems the first time you tried it you must have done something wrong. Upon trying it again it seems to work fine. Quit wasting these people's precious time.

Re: Adding Files
Setup Factory is normally quite good at determining where you want to install files. It will always maintain the correct path of subdirectories if you add a whole directory tree. It will also remember the "root" directory for subsequent file additions and add the appropriate subfolder to %AppDir% as required.
Of course, you can always change the destination using the file properties - either individually or for multiple files. |
