Creating a Table of Contents

Document ID: IR10077
The information in this article applies to:
  • AutoPlay Media Studio 5.0 Standard Edition
  • AutoPlay Media Studio 5.0 Professional Edition

SUMMARY

This article describes how to create a table of contents in your application.

DISCUSSION

One way of navigating through a multi-page application is by utilizing a Table Of Contents page. In AutoPlay Media Studio 5.0 this is accomplished by creating a page at the beginning of your project with one navigational object (e.g. a button object) for each page you want to link to.

As an example, we will create a project with three pages (one page for the Table Of Contents, and two content pages) where Page1 is the Table of Contents, and Page2 and Page3 are the content pages.

  1. On the first page, create two buttons.

  2. Add the following action to the On Click event of "Button1" (Button1 will link to the first content page):
    Page.Jump("Page2");

  3. Add the following action to the On Click event of "Button2" (Button2 will link to the second content page):
    Page.Jump("Page3");

  4. You may want to create a back button on each of your content pages to return to the Table Of Contents. This is accomplished by adding the following action to a button object's On Click event:
    Page.Jump("Page1");
