Getting the Registered User of the Computer

SUMMARY

This article describes how to retrieve the registered user of the computer that your application is running on.

DISCUSSION

To detect the registered user of the system in AutoPlay Media Studio 5.0:

Insert the following script in the On Startup event of your project:

user = System.GetUserInfo();

Please note that user is a table variable. To display this information on a page in your application, reference:

  • user.RegOwner – the registered owner of the computer
  • user.RegOrganization – the registered organization
