SetupData.GetFileList().FileVersion for .sys files
Sad that this is EXPECTED behaviour -- but it is...
SUF cannot cannot retrieve version #'s for .sys files Please reconsider this as a bug vs expected behaviour and fix it. I am having to redo a very large & costly project in <insert major competitors product here> becuase this is expected behaviour... (and thus; isn't going to be addressed) |

not an issue.
Sorry -- overreacted to stress levels being too high. This is not an issue.

For anyone searching for information on this type of issue, you can enable version information scanning for different file extensions beyond the default by going to Edit > Preferences, and selecting Document > Files. There you will find the "File extensions" field in the "Scan Version Information" area where you can add additional extensions such as .sys.
Hope that helps. |

Had we tried to debug the issue we may have found the real solution; instead my client opted to tell the end user that a certain virus scanner + installer was not compatible... it tooks us a while to debug it down to that issue; but issue was resolved & NOT related to this option.
