Problem with irsetup.exe
A friend of mine is trying to install a program named Embla (a norwegian genealogy program) and gets a errormessage, " AppName:irsetup.exe, AppVer: 8.1.1004.0, Modname:irsetup.exe, ModVer:8.1.1004.0, Ofsett: 000a69f9 " Help, anyone?

Irsetup problems
Ah, sorry, the OS is Win XP, and the author of Embla has been contacted, and this seems to be something new for them. The software (Embla) has now been tested with a machine with Vista, and worked perfect. So it looks like the installed OS, XP, on that particular machine, is the problem. The author of Embla recommends XP, so I will try to solve it that way. Thank you for your answer.

what service pack level is the XP at? I cannot say for RTM & SP1 versions but Sp2 & SP3 -- do not crash with the windows crash that you posted when running a setup built with SUF.
