Build Config & Changes
A nice feature for the build config screen would be to have a way to "copy" data from another build config.
I have an install that consists of 8 build configurations Adding the code signing, resources & pre/post build to all 8 is a hassle. editing the xml is how I went to avoid typo's but that's not ideal a "Copy From...." button would be nice. |

Thanks for the suggestion. REF: 17677
I understand how this one came about due to the additional features, likely on an imported version 7.0 project. Normally though, when creating new projects, you would create one build config and make a copy of that. I certainly do get your point though and being able to get settings from specific areas though. |

for example; let's say you don't do any code signing "now" and you ahve 4 build configs -- your boss calls "we need to code sign" so you buy the certificate -- going on your premis; I would delete all the other configs; then add in the code signing to the default & then create new ones based on that; then alter them again... not sure which is more effecient.... |
